SA1 Standard Base Coat

ecorend SA1 Standard Base Coat is an essential, general-purpose base coat for common masonry substrates. Suitable for hand or spray application, it can be used beneath through-coloured render, a thin coat render system or suitable masonry paint.

A practical base for everyday rendering, ecorend SA1 Standard Base Coat is designed for straightforward preparation of common masonry backgrounds before the application of a decorative render or paint finish.

SA1 can be applied by hand or spray and used in different build-ups depending on the required finish. It’s suitable for new concrete block, smooth brick, rough brick and hacked-off render, covering the masonry backgrounds encountered on many standard new-build and refurbishment projects.

With good adhesion, breathability and W2 capillary water absorption, SA1 provides the essential performance required from a standard external render base coat without unnecessary complexity.

This product is designed and intended for use by professional tradespeople and within commercial construction applications. It is not designed or marketed as a general household consumer product.

Professional and business users must ensure that all residual product and associated packaging are managed responsibly through an appropriately authorised commercial waste or recycling service, in accordance with applicable waste management regulations. Waste arising from professional or commercial use must not be disposed of through domestic household waste streams.

Where the product is purchased or used by a private individual, any residual product or packaging must be disposed of responsibly and in accordance with local authority requirements. Packaging and residual material should not be placed in normal domestic kerbside waste or recycling unless specifically accepted by the relevant local authority. Where required, material should be taken to an authorised waste facility or household waste recycling centre that accepts the relevant waste type.
