What Is Through-Coloured Render?
ecorend Through Coloured Renders represent a fusion of traditional cement-based or hydraulic lime-based renders with advanced polymer modification. This enhancement serves to elevate key attributes such as water repellence, breathability, and adhesion, ensuring the utmost performance and longevity.
The unique feature of through coloured render lies in the preblended pigment. When the product is mixed with water and applied to the wall, the render boasts consistent colour throughout the whole thickness of the material. This remarkable characteristic significantly reduces the necessity for subsequent painting, simplifying the finishing process while maintaining a vibrant, long-lasting appearance.
What Is Monocouche Render?
Monocouche render is mostly specified as a single-product, two-pass system. It is through-coloured, meaning the colour is throughout the whole material, and commonly known as “scratch render”, although other finishes can be applied.
The application of monocouche renders can be done by either hand or machine. Monocouche render is available in a variety of pastel colours and can be finished in a number of ways such as scratch, roughcast, ashlar and float.
Monocouche renders are generally suitable for external use across most types of traditional masonry brick, blockwork, or concrete.
