A timber frame with render carrier board, this cantilever construction has been brought to you by The Transparent Group. Their chosen manufacturer was ecorend using the SR15 Silicone Render carrier board system.
The project began with the S10 Bonding Primer our ready-to-use translucent product that’s been developed to be highly vapour permeable and to control the suction of the render carrier boards.
The Transparent Group then paired this with the FX4 One Coat Base. A water-repellent, breathable and highly flexible product that is cement-based and suitable for a range of substrates. The first pass was applied with a trowel, with a fibre-reinforcing mesh lightly embedded ready to receive the second pass. This was then applied wet on wet and sponge float finished ready to receive the SP15 primer once fully cured.
To provide the very best resistance to cracking, the ecorend SR15 Thin Coat Render system was selected for its water repellent, highly vapour permeable and extremely flexible qualities. Finished in Chalk White using a PFT machine, this expertly executed culmination is surely the talk of the town.
