Harbour Render Systems is a leading installer of façade finishes, providing a ‘quality first’ approach to housebuilders and main contractors throughout the south of England and Wales. Highly accredited, with clear core values, they provide a reliable service and quality end product. This approach has helped them become one of the most renowned installers across their region.

As part of the ecorend Registered Contractor Scheme, Harbour stood out as an obvious choice to participate in a trial of ecorend’s new BBA Certified SR365 Ultimate Silicone Thin Coat Render System.

SR365 is a two-component, dispersion-based, hybrid silicone, thin coat render. SR365 is through coloured, flexible, and highly vapour-permeable. So far you would probably think this all sounds familiar, however, there is a major innovation at play that makes SR365 stand out from the competition.

Unlike all other renders on the market the SR365 Ultimate Silicone Thin Coat Render System can be applied at temperatures down to -5°C and is rainproof in just 2 hours in temperatures above 5°C. Making it the ideal choice for application during cold or variable conditions.

This patented formulation allows ecorend Registered Contractors to keep working all year round, regardless of the season. Hence the name ‘365 Ultimate’ communicates the all-year-round application attributes and versatility of the render.

The result of this collaborative trial is a stunning project completed by the Harbour team in Cheltenham. Phil Bailey, Managing Director of Harbour Render Systems noted: “ecorend SR365 Ultimate Silicone Thin Coat Render System was the perfect render solution for us to complete this fantastic, new-build project in the heart of Cheltenham for our client, Thorn Homes.

The project was programmed for completion during the winter months, which is always challenging when using a thin coat render system. Fortunately, this system performed exactly as it said it does, during days of sub-zero temperatures, allowing our team to complete on time for our client without an issue. A truly amazing bit of innovation from ecorend!”

Andrew Rawsthorne, Technical Sales and Marketing Director at ecorend commented: “It is ecorend’s ongoing mission to create products that contractors love to use and can trust, our SR365 Ultimate Silicone Thin Coat Render System is patented and carries full BBA Certification.

“ecorend SR365 has been formulated, manufactured, and tested in the UK, for the UK climate, and is a ground-breaking product that will revolutionise the fundamentals of render science and completely transform the way we think about render and the environmental conditions in which it can be applied.”
