As a brick new build, the team at JCPR Construction were expecting a normal day of scratch render with the headache of the possibility of slumping and skimming. Instead, they decided to try the ecorend SR15 Silicone Thin Coat Render System… supplied by Beers of Birkenhead.
“We found the material a dream to work with,” the team at JCPR Construction said. “Easy machine set up, easy spray, lovely to edge and flatten. This was our first overnight spray of the year, we found the material to be a great density to ibar and scratch finish. MR1 is a joy to use and finish”.
To begin, the team used a combination of the K11 Key Coat Primer – a cement-based primer specifically designed for use on difficult substrates – and the SP15 Silicone Primer on render board areas to control the suction of the substrate. As both materials only require one coat, they ensured there was no compromise over quality or efficiency.
They finished by opting for popular MR1 Monocouche Render in Marble White for the masonry areas and the SR15 Thin Coat Render System for render carrier-boarded areas. These systems were a perfect match for this project.
